Gaius Helen Mohiam was a senior Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother and the Emperor's own Imperial Truthsayer. She administered the harrowing gom jabbar test to young Paul Atreides at Castle Caladan. It was one of the pivotal early moments that confirmed his extraordinary potential to the Sisterhood. As a key architect and enforcer of the breeding program, she maneuvered constantly across the Imperium's political landscape to protect the Sisterhood's plans. She had served as Lady Jessica's proctor herself. Her ambitions and manipulations ran well into Paul's reign as Emperor, when she became entangled in the conspiracy chronicled in Dune Messiah that sought to destabilize his rule. Mohiam's long career of cold, calculated service ended when Stilgar executed her after that plot was exposed. It was a stark end for one of the Bene Gesserit's most formidable operatives.
