Korba
Former Fedaykin who became a high priest of the Qizarate.
Korba was once a devoted Fedaykin who fought at Paul's side during the desert years. He rose within the Qizarate as Paul's religion hardened into a sprawling bureaucratic empire. He traded the simplicity of desert loyalty for the ambition and intrigue of religious administration. In time he decided that Paul's death as a martyr would serve the faith, and his own position within it, better than Paul's continued rule. So he became entangled in a plot to assassinate the Emperor he had once served without question. His scheme was exposed before it could succeed. It revealed how far the religious machinery built around Muad'Dib had already begun to outgrow, and even threaten, the man it was meant to honor. Korba's execution was a pointed reminder. The Qizarate's growing power made it as dangerous to Paul as any foreign enemy.
