Alia Atreides
Sister to Paul, known as St. Alia of the Knife, born a pre-born Abomination.
Alia was exposed to the Water of Life inside her mother's womb, during Jessica's Reverend Mother transformation. She was born already holding the ancestral memory of countless women before her, awake and aware in a way no infant should be. The Bene Gesserit had a word for what she was, and it was not a kind one: Abomination, the outcome their oldest rules existed to prevent. The Fremen read her strangeness differently and treated the child with a wary reverence. She grew fast in mind if not in body, speaking like a grown woman while still small enough to be carried. At the Battle of Arrakeen she reached the captive Baron Harkonnen and killed him with the poisoned needle of a gom jabbar before anyone thought to fear a child. The chroniclers would remember her as St. Alia of the Knife.
